We're Carbon Neutral
We are proud to announce that two of our key paint ranges - CHALK EFFECT and EASY MAX - have been certified as carbon neutral products. This makes Cosmos Lac the first brand in the world to offer carbon neutral acrylic sprays.
What is 'carbon neutral'?
A brand, product or service is considered carbon neutral if the carbon is not affected during the product development phases or by the company's activities. This is the case when a balance is created between the emission of greenhouse gases and the absorption of carbon from the atmosphere.
Our sustainability awards
Our Chalk Effect, Easy Max and RAL Ranges have been awarded the internationally recognised “ Carbon Footprint Standard ”, a leading provider of carbon footprint calculations, carbon protection strategies and carbon neutrality standards. The label promotes low-carbon products from companies and enables customers to understand environmental measures through transparency.

These carbon emission reduction projects are supported by our contribution:
- Cambodia: Reducing emissions from deforestation and destructive forest use through the Southern Cardamom REDD+ initiative
- Uganda: The “Borehole” project supplies a local community with drinking water
- Bulgaria: Electricity generation and reduction of methane emissions at the wastewater treatment plant in Sofia
- Brazil: Project in Buenos Aires for renewable energies
- India: Generation of renewable wind energy sources through the project 199.70 MW
- Kenya: Reforestation projects to offset CO2 emissions
Further steps towards sustainability
Although we are celebrating this milestone, our efforts to achieve sustainability are far from over. We are constantly working to optimize our products and processes along the distribution chain by modernizing our facilities and developing state-of-the-art aerosols. In the future, solar energy will be used to support the power supply of the production facility. In addition, measures are being introduced to reduce greenhouse gas emissions within the supply chain, including the use of electric vehicles. We also plan to use fully recyclable materials for our packaging.
